project WORTHY.

Empowerment photography is my second great love, which is inspired by my first one - building confidence in women and the way they view their bodies.

To bring attention to how we see ourselves and the words we use to describe our bodies;

I want to make a statement with project

WORTHY.

I want to ask you something. When was the last time you felt a part of your body was unworthy of being loved?

A year ago, last month, yesterday, today? No matter the answer, what if we gave our bodies just one way to be described? One way to be perceived?

WORTHY.

I believe that every part of a woman's body is worthy. No matter the journey. No matter the scars, the marks and all the changes. They are what make our bodies unique, and they deserve to be seen and embraced.

The way we speak about our bodies to ourselves, in front of our children, our friends and family; it matters. It matters because our voices are powerful and can make big impact. The way we also show up for this, to change the narrative on how women look at, talk and feel about their bodies, matters.

For this project, I invited everyday women from all walks of life, all backgrounds, all body journeys to volunteer to be a part of this body positive art project to re-write the narrative we've been living. Each session started with a chat about body image and a short meditation and affirmation exercise to help everyone land in the space and what they were about to be a part of. Then one at a time, they would come to me to be painted with the word 'WORTHY' on whichever body part they connected with and that they felt was unworthy. Some would share their 'why' with me, whilst others simply just wanted silence and an embrace. I met each woman where they were at and it was an absolute honour to be able to hold that space for them. I ran 22 photo sessions over 4 months from June to September and the turnout was phenomenal. I had the thought that maybe I could encourage 30 women to be a part of this project with the goal of having 50 women involved. This project ended with 85 local, incredible women volunteering their time, their stories and bodies to help make this statement art project, WORTHY.

The project gained more popularity than I could have anticipated and will continue to make impact in the years to come. 2026 will see Project Worthy workshops and programs so that more of our community can experience the impact for themselves and their loved ones.

PRANAFEST 2026

Project WORTHY at Pranafest

SATURDAY JUNE 6

"Pranafest is Queensland’s leading festival for health, wellbeing, and conscious connection. Held among the sacred hills and living earth of Woodfordia, it’s a space where seekers become finders. Where breath becomes ceremony. Where movement becomes medicine. And where every song, story, and silence is an invitation to return — to self, to source, to community."
